Electrolytes and when to replace them

As a runner, have you ever considered how to know when you need to replenish your electrolyte level?

As a casual runner who’s eating a diversity of nutrient rich foods and staying hydrated, you most likely don’t need to take special steps to replace electrolytes before or after running.

Having a seasoned nutrient plan provides most casual athletes with all the electrolytes they require.

But in case you sweat heavily, run in hot temperatures, run longer than an hour, it is advisable you start consuming sports drinks that are rich in Sodium or tab one hour before your run, and follow it up every 10 to 20 minutes during the course of your run, depending on how heavily you sweat.
