Microsoft is continuing to modernize the design of its products. Over 100 new icons have now been announced, the Telegraph reports.
Microsoft plans to widely modernize its software products. Jon Friedman, Microsoft’s vice president, introduced the models in a blog post.
He writes: “We need to signal innovation and change and at the same time remain familiar to our customers.”
Like Office icons, the new designs combine depth, color types, and soft edges unlike the old Microsoft design applied since Windows 8.
But the company didn’t give a specific date on when these new logos and icons will appear on Windows apps and services.
