Health benefits you stand to gain eating bread

Did you know bread was so important to the Egyptian way of life that is was used as a type of currency in old Egypt?

Whith the fall of Atkins diet, athletes are now eating bread and other starchy food.

Bread is rich in excess calories which has fattening effect in people with a sedentary lifestyle but provides athletes with the much-needed calorie to power their high-intensity workout.

White bread which some considered worthless is rich in fibers, magnesium, zinc and vitamin B complex (thiamine, niacin, riboflavin and folic acid).

It is also rich in iron which is necessary for hemoglobin formation.

Although white bread offers higher vitamin content than wheat bread, wheat bread has a higher fiber content.
